This is a handy converter from wet coating to dry coatweight, something not quite as trivial as we imagine because the densities of the solvent and the coating can make a significant difference.
For those smart enough to use a metered coating method, then you also calculate the feedrate required to give your desired thickness.
Coatweight
It should be trivial to go from wet coat thickness to dry coat thickness given a % solids. However, it is trickier than we think once densities are taken into account. And the amount we have to feed to deliver that coatweight also depends on speed and width
If we all stuck to a few metric units the app would be really simple. But different industries have different habits, with one industry regularly using ozsy, oz/sqyd. So you can select your favourite unit for each input and get the answers in a suitable output unit.
